RockStopScene – Reflecting On The Past Week
Jun 29th
This past week has been extremely shocking, namely due to the death of the legend Michael Jackson.
Chris Cornell Speaking To Kerrang On MJ’S Shocking Death;
“I was on my way from Poland to Berlin following a show. At 1am I got the news and was immediately saddened. I remembered being 6 years old and seeing the Jackson 5 on our black and white tv. His brothers were cool but he had a halo around him. Superstar at 12. What promise. He had magic! It was by chance that I recorded and rearranged his song Billie jean and have been amazed at the response it gets when I perform it every night. He was amazingly talented and largely misunderstood. I hope that the media will be kind and celebrate the genius instead of cashing in on the tabloid angles that made him a prisoner. I think he deserves that.”

We were Friends
Jun 25th

Don’t let the adorable image above fool you. We were Friends eagerly anticipated EP is on the horizon and they’re certainly pulling out all the stops to make it perfect for their devotes!
We were Friends formerly known as Elmoe are a 4 piece band from Nottinghamshire. This exert from their Myspace really means a lot to me. “We’re all born and bread in music, it’s our first love, playing to it, listening to it and making it.” One of the main issues bands of today have is forgetting all about the roots of where their music came from. Every single band out there were influenced by another and We were Friends certainly acknowledge this, revealing their down to earth attitude.
My Passion Live Review
Jun 24th

Okay lets face it the majority of bands now-a-days have their albums so well edited that they could even make my voice sound good! But My Passion are different, their ‘fun and energetic’ on stage performance matches that of the album; pure brilliant!
A few months ago I got recommended My Passion by one of my friends, and I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much, “Just some other band trying to make it big” I thought. Yet I’m not one to just accept my first impressions without looking deeper, so I decided to give My passions Myspace a listen to, what did I have to lose?
Nickelback – Dark Horse
Jun 23rd
Nickelback has had 6 officially released albums since 1995 and “Dark Horse” could well be the best yet. It has 11 tracks, some more meaningful than others.
The album has reached #4 in the UK rock charts and #1 in the US rock charts.
ChartAttack said “Chad Kroeger is a genius because he knows exactly what people want and precisely how far he can go. He turned out an extremely racy album that’s loaded with songs about gettin’ drunk and doin’ it all without breaking any taboos, and with enough love and moral authority to grease its passage into the mainstream.”
