Top 5 Tracks Of The Week #1

Hey all, welcome to the first ‘Top 5 Tracks Of The Week’. The article really isn’t in chronological order, I couldn’t place the bands into an order as they’re all pretty epic! So read, enjoy, listen, and love!
My Only Chance:
Day in day out my vision is over-encumbered by red-head, skinny jean wearing midgets of doom! Yes, although I do love Hayley Williams, why do people; especially lead singers of unsigned bands, feel the need to copy Hayley/Paramore ‘to the tee‘? That’s why My Only Chance caught my eye. Dark haired (yay) lead singer Laura has an extremely powerful voice – similar to Hayley’s, yet her voice is extremely distinctive and unique. To relate MOC to Paramore would be like saying Pete Wentz is joining Metallica… not likely to happen! Good band, good sound, good image! Well worth a visit.

3 Ways of Thinking
Lolz omgzzzz I luv dis band mannn, ttly wikid! - Ok there’s a reason for that sudden misspelling outburst, and no it’s not ’cause I’m writing this late on Saturday night (or is it?) ‘Twitter Is For People Who Can’t Spell’, both a song title and true fact by the band 3 Ways Of Thinking really shows off the bands ability with style! Paramore vocals mixed with A Day To Remember style guitar work means that fans of those bands shouldn’t pass up on checking out 3WOT’s self described “proper canny” tunes. Buzzin’ man!

Yashin
With the new song ‘Put Your hands Where I Can See Them’ released in 7 days time, you would think I’ve been paid to plug the song wouldn’t you? Unfortunately, I haven’t spoke to the band before, but I can tell you one thing; they’re fu**ing awesome! If I could rename the band they’d be called Gallows Shikari (imaginative I know
) but the resemblances really are unbelievable. In fact the band also love Britney Spears so much they’ve even done an acoustic *cough* cover of the song; with no screamo, or heavy guitar riffs at all….. you all believe me… right?

Francesqa
Now this band really appeal to me, they have none of those ‘silly’ poses some bands do on their Myspace (a band licking an ice cream cone must be one of the worst I’ve seen so far.) The sound’s pretty unique; nothing extrovert, yet just different, and no sign of ‘whiney pop lyircs’. But you know what? It works. Furthermore, the ‘rock image is there’, Twitter accounts are kept up to date, and band merchandise is extremely reasonably priced! They seem like some pretty decent guys, so definitely go and leave them a message!

All Or Nothing
Fast paced punk-rock with ‘killer hooks’ really shouldn’t work, but it does. It’s like having an Ipod and a blender, you know you really shouldn’t put the Ipod in the blender but you know you’re going to gain that exalted euphoria every time you do; it’s kinda like waiting for Santa, only it’s real. (Sorry for ruining the secret kids). A band that’s played with the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Kids In Glass Houses, and You Me At Six, really doesn’t need its epicness justifying in words. So go over to the Myspace, click the song, press the play button and get ready for some hardcore solo moshing action. You cool person, you.

That’s the end of our top 5 songs for this week, thanks for reading everyone. Have a great week ahead, and above all keep rockin’!
PS: I accept no responsibility for any Ipods, blenders, walls, midgets, moshers, scene kids, Cd’s, floors, TVs or anything else getting destroyed/harmed/damaged/spontaneously combusting/firing out of a canon due to this article!
